Abstract

The objectives of this study were to study: 1) problems of administration to promote saving for the people of the Government Savings Banks in Suphanburi province, 2) development guidelines administration to promote saving for the people of the Government Savings Banks in Suphanburi province, and 3) significant factors affecting the achievement of the in guidelines of the administration to promote saving for the people of the Government Savings Banks in Suphanburi province. The philosophy of Sufficiency Economy of 5 aspects was applied to this study framework. The 5 aspects were moderation, reasonableness, self-immunity, knowledge and virtue. Methodology of this research was designed the research design as mixed methods research applying quantitative research as a principal and qualitative research as a supplementary. The quantitative research was survey research collecting large field data from samples with questionnaires. The questionnaires passed try out of validity check at level of 0.91 and reliability check at level of 0.89 Population was all 852,003 people residing in the areas of Suphanburi province. Sampling size was 1,110 people residing in the areas of Suphanburi province calculated by using the Taro Yamane’s formula. Field data collection was operated during 1 April - 31 May 2018, The sample collested was 1,082, equal to 98.38% of the 1,110 total sample. Data analysis was presented in contingency table with descriptive approach. Descriptive Statistics exercised were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. For qualitative data, in-depth interview of 9 experts, selected by the Purposive Sampling Concept with face to face interview of at least 60 minute each and structured in-depth interview form, was also applied. Findings of this research were (1) the major problem was the bank’s lacking of budgets to promote savings for the people. (2) the major development guidelines were: the bank should provide sufficient budgets the saving promotion and should follow the holding saving of promotion, and (3) the significant factors affecting the achievement of the development guidelines of administration: the significant factors affecting the achievement of the administration development guidelines administration were that the banks executives were good visionaries. And they had a clear policy the saving promotion for the people include support for modern technology to be used in management.
