Service Administration of Mobile Fire Extinguishers of Municipalities in Pathum Thani Province

Abstract

Objectives of this study were to explore (1) situation problems of service administration of mobile fire extinguishers of municipalities in Pathum Thani Province, (2) development guidelines of service administration of mobile fire extinguishers of municipalities in Pathum Thani Province, and (3) factors effecting the success development guidelines of service administration of mobile fire extinguishers of municipalities in Pathum Thani Province. The Sufficiency Economy Philosophy of 5 aspects was applied as conceptual framework of this study. Methodology of this research was designed the research design as mixed methods research applying quantitative research as a principal and qualitative research as a supplementary. The quantitative research was survey research collecting large field data with questionnaires. The questionnaires passed try out of validity check at level of 0.95 and reliability check at level of 0.83. Population was all 410,181 residential people in the area of 9 Town Municipalities in Pathum Thani Province. Total of 1,109 samples were calculated by using Taro Yamane’s formula. Field data collection was conducted during June1-August1, 2018, and total 881 completed sets of questionnaire equal to 79.44% of the 1,109 total samples were returned. Data analysis was represented in contingency table with descriptive approach. Descriptive Statistics exercised were percentage, mean, and standard deviation. For qualitative data, in-depth interview of 9 experts, selected by the Purposive Sampling Method with face to face interview of at least 60 minute each and structured in-depth interview form, was also applied. Findings of this research were (1) the major problem were the municipalities in Pathum Thani Province' s paying less attention on the services administration of mobile fire extinguishers including insufficient comprehensive and thorough publicity services of mobile fire extinguishers, (2) the major improvement guidelines of administration were the municipalities in Pathum Thani Province should concentrate on the services administration of mobile fire extinguishers for people and should increasingly provide comprehensive, thorough publicity, equal services, and (3) the major factors effecting the success development guidelines were the Government' s explicit and continuous policy on supporting the services of mobile fire extinguishers as well as subsidizing sufficient budget to the municipalities in Pathum Thani Province.
