Abstract

This study has an intention to (1) study the level of emotional intelligence, leadership perception, job satisfaction, and team effectiveness, and (2) study the leadership perception and job satisfaction as mediators between emotional intelligence and team effectiveness of S.P. Marketing Supply Company Limited. This research is considered as a quantitative research by using survey research method. The sample size includes 139 personnel of S.P. Marketing Supply Company Limited. The questionnaires were used to collect the needed data. The descriptive statistics are percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The data were analyzed by using Structural Equation Model (SEM) by using PLS Graph 3.0 The results found that the emotional intelligence, leadership perception, job satisfaction, and team effectiveness are at the high level. The research also found that (1) the emotional intelligence has a direct effect on leadership perception, job satisfaction, and team effectiveness at 0.777, 0.365, and 0.372 respectively, (2) leadership perception has a direct effect on job satisfaction and team effectiveness at the value of 0.439 and 0.274, (3) job satisfaction has a direct effect on team effectiveness at the value of 0.209, and (4) leadership perception and job satisfaction are acting as mediators between emotional intelligence and team effectiveness.
