Article Processing Charge (APC)
To continue to be open-access and freely available to all, the Journal of Population and Social Studies will assess an Article Processing Charge (APC) of 10,000 Thai Baht for all accepted articles submitted from 1 January 2023. The APC covers the costs of peer review administration and management, publishing operations, and administrative functions incurred in processing accepted manuscripts.
The APC does not include any language editing services. The authors of accepted papers for publication with the Journal must seek their own language editing service to meet the academic language requirement of the Journal. Nonetheless, the Journal can provide a language editing service upon request from the author at an additional cost of 10,000 Thai Baht. The language editing service includes comprehensive language editing, manuscript formatting, and complete reference verification and formatting to meet the requirement of the Journal.
The APC and language editing service fee are payable once the manuscript has been ‘accepted for publication.’ An invoice will be issued to the corresponding author during the proofreading stage of the accepted manuscript. The author is requested to pay the fee within one week after receipt of the invoice to avoid manuscript retraction or delay in a publication online.
Please note that the Journal of Population and Social Studies does not collect manuscript submission charges or fees for rejected articles.
The Journal will refund an article processing charge (APC) if the article cannot be published because of an error on our part. Please note that the APC will not be refunded if articles are retracted due to author error or misconduct.
