Management Process of Scientific Crimes Detection Center 4, Office of Forensic Science Police, Royal Thai Police

Abstract

A study aimed to examine the Thai police officer’s attitude on the management process of Scientific Crimes Detection Center 4, under the Office of Forensic Science Police, Royal Thai Police. The sample group was classified by age, educational background, and rank. The population required in this study was 240 of the Thai police officer working for the Scientific Crimes Detection Center 4 covering 12 provinces in the upper part of Northeast of Thailand. Finally, 150 out of 240 officers were selected as the sample group. The research tool for the data collection was the questionnaire with 0.947 of Reliability, and the statistical techniques applied in this study included percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test, and F-test. The result was revealed as follows.
1. The officers had their overall attitude on the management process of Scientific Crimes Detection Center 4 at a neutral level. In term of multiple attitude, they attitude was at a neutral level for all dimensions ranging from the highest to the lowest as follows; Controlling, Planning, Leading, and Organizing.
2. The officers with different ages had shown no difference in their overall and multidimensional attitudes on the management process of Scientific Crimes Detection Center 4.
3. The officers with different educational background had difference in their overall attitude on the management process of Scientific Crimes Detection Center 4 with statistical significance of.05. Meanwhile, they had difference in their multidimensional attitude in terms of Planning and Leading, with statistical significance of .05.
4. The officers with different ranks had difference in their overall attitude on the management process of Scientific Crimes Detection Center 4 with statistical significance of .05. Meanwhile, they had difference in their multidimensional attitude in terms of Planning, Organizing, and Controlling, with statistical significance of .05.
