Abstract

This Study aims to analyze the economic impacts of frog farming in Phayao Province, fifteen purposefully selected farmers, actively engaged in frog farming, participated in the research. The research methodology involved collaborative research to develop frog farming practices and the use of survey tools to analyze the economic impacts. Data analysis employed content analysis and return on investment analysis. The research findings reveal that the economic impacts of frog farmers in Phayao Province, as assessed through the survey, interviews, and Benefit cost analysis (BCA), involve an investment of 3,656,000 Baht. The Net Present Value (NPV) is 12,028,911 Baht. The return on investment within the project's lifespan, calculated as the Internal Rate of Return (IRR) or the discount rate, is 23.32%, higher than the bank interest rate. Considering the overall ratio of the present value of returns to the present value of costs throughout the project's lifespan is 1.65, it indicates that investing 1 Baht in the project yields a return of 1.65 Baht. This suggests that continuing the project would generate income greater than expenses, with a return of 1.65 times the investment. The development of frog farming includes breeding parent frogs, farming practices, supplemental frog feed, sales, and processing.
