Supply Chain Performance Measurement: Case of One Tambon One Product Food Industry in the Eastern Provincial Cluster 2

Abstract

This research papers attempts to discover appropriate key performance indicators and to evaluate the performance of the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) Food Industry in the Eastern Provincial Cluster 2 that consists of Trat, Chanthaburi, Sa Kaeo, Prachin Buri and Nakhon Nayok as well as and to benchmark against the national standard dimension in food industry of performance indicators. The methodology employed in this research work was the structured interview. The population and sample of this research was 189 OTOP owners in the Eastern Provincial Cluster 2 and the number of respondent was 181. Hence, the response rate of this study was 95.77 %. Descriptive statistics was employed for data analysis.


The results shown that (1) it was found that there are 18 key performance indicators (KPIs) that is suitable for the OTOP Food Industry in the Eastern Provincial Cluster 2 (2) it was realized that the OTOP businesses has the median level of cost, time and reliability dimension performance and has the balance operations benchmarked against the Thai food industry standard dimension of performance indicators (3) it was discovered that the most robust representation in supply chain performance was Procurement Cycle Time that the average performance score was 7.52 days and the worst representation in supply chain performance was Customer Service cost per Sales and Order Accuracy Rate that the average performance score was 5.25 % and 89.23 % respectively.
