การพัฒนาระบบสารสนเทศด้วยเว็บเบราว์เซอร์แบบพกพา The Development of Information System with Portable Web Browser

งานวิจัยนี้ได้ทำการศึกษาการประยุกต์ใช้เว็บเบราว์เซอร์แบบพกพาสำหรับการพัฒนาระบบสารสนเทศ และการรันบนหน่วยความจำสำรอง วัตถุประสงค์ของงานวิจัย 1) เพื่อพัฒนาระบบสารสนเทศด้วยเว็บบราวเซอร์แบบพกพา 2) เพื่อประเมินความพึงพอใจของผู้ใช้งานระบบสารสนเทศ ซอฟต์แวร์สำคัญที่เกี่ยวข้องได้แก่ เว็บเบราว์เซอร์แบบพกพา ในงานวิจัยใช้ Mozilla Firefox Portable และ Server2Go  ทำหน้าที่เป็นเว็บเซิร์ฟเวอร์เว็บเบราว์เซอร์แบบพกพา ถูกออกแบบมาเพื่อใช้ร่วมกับหน่วยความจำสำรอง เช่น แผ่นซีดี หลังจากพัฒนาระบบเสร็จและติดตั้งลงในแผ่นซีดีเรียบร้อยแล้ว สามารถนำไปใช้กับคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ไม่ได้เชื่อมต่อกับระบบเครือข่ายอินเทอร์เน็ต ผู้วิจัยได้ทำการทดสอบกับเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ในห้องปฏิบัติการคอมพิวเตอร์ของโรงเรียนปลาค้าววิทยานุสรณ์ อำเภอเมือง  จังหวัดอำนาจเจริญ และห้องปฏิบัติการคอมพิวเตอร์ ศูนย์คอมพิวเตอร์ มหาวิทยาลัยอุบลราชธานี ผลการวิจัยพบว่าแผ่นซีดีสามารถทำงานอัตโนมัติ และระบบสารสนเทศทำงานได้เทียบเท่ากับทำงานผ่านเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์แม่ข่าย แต่ด้านความเร็วยังช้ากว่า เนื่องจากความเร็วในการประมวลผลขึ้นกับขนาดของข้อมูล และประสิทธิภาพของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ที่ใช้งาน นอกจากนั้นแผ่นซีดีหนึ่งแผ่นสามารถใช้งานได้กับคอมพิวเตอร์ได้เพียงหนึ่งเครื่องเท่านั้น ดังนั้นการพัฒนาระบบสารสนเทศที่มีการนำเว็บเบราว์เซอร์แบบพกพามาประยุกต์ใช้ จึงเหมาะสมกับองค์กรที่ไม่ได้มีการเชื่อมต่อระบบเครือข่ายคอมพิวเตอร์กับคอมพิวเตอร์ครบทุกเครื่อง

Abstract

                  This paper examined the application of the portable web browser to the information system development and the operation on the secondary storage, primarily aiming to 1) to develop information system with portable web browser and 2) to evaluate user satisfaction with information system of the related important software, including the portable web browser, Mozilla Firefox Portable and Server2Go, as web server. The portable web browser was designed to operate with the backup memory such as compact disk (CD). Following the complete system development and CD installation, it can be employed with the offline computer. In this study, the testing was performed in the computer laboratory at the Plakaw Wittayanusorn School, Muang, Amnartcharoen, and the computer laboratory at Ubon Ratchathani University. The results showed that CD can auto run and information system can work as effectively as that is run through the network host, however, its speed was slower because the processing speed depends on the data size and available computer performance. Moreover, one CD can be applied to only one computer. Thus, the information system development with the application of the portable web browser is more suitable to the work units in which not all computers are connected to the computer network.
