Influence of optimism, job characteristics and work environment towards happiness at work of Ubon Ratchathani University's personnel
This research aimed to investigate (1) personal characteristics affecting happiness at work of Ubon Ratchathani University’s and (2) according to Influence of optimism, job characteristics and work environment towards happiness at work of Ubon Ratchathani University’s personnel. The samples were 380 Ubon Ratchathani University’s personnel. The research tool was a questionnaire that consisted of questions on being optimistic, job characteristics, work environment, and happiness in working, with cronbach alpha value of 0.75, 0.88, 0.89, and 0.96 respectively. Statistical methods for data analysis were Percentage, Frequency, Means, Standard Deviation, t-TEST DIFFERENCE ANALYSIS, One-way ANOVA, Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient, and Multiple Regression Analysis.
The research showed that (1) only the difference in working position of personal characteristic factors affected the happiness of the personnel with a statistically significant value of 0.05 and (2) according to the factors being optimistic, job characteristics, and work environment influenced their happiness in working with a statistically significant value of 0.05. It explained that the variation of the happiness in working accounted for 49.9 percent.
