Abstract
Innovation in Service and Its Measurement in Thailand’s Tourism Business: Small and Medium Enterprises
This research is conducted on the purpose of modeling the appropriate conceptual of service innovation for small and medium enterprises in Thailand. Schumpeter’s innovation theory is applied as a fundamental for research development. The condition of tourism in Thailand includes entrepreneur’s tourism products and the sizes of business are also taken into account. The study result reveals that: 1) product innovation and process innovation play an important role in the achievement of business 2) the indicator of product innovation is the presence of novel products and services, the development and diversity of tourism products and services. The indicator of process innovation is, however, the innovative approach to deliver products and services in addition to the improvement of working process. The finding from the study should consequently be used as an indicator for small and medium enterprises in tourism sector.
