Main Article Content
Abstract
The objectives of the present study are (1) to study the effect of working smart on self-efficacy and knowledge sharing, (2) to explore the impact of work passion on self-efficacy and knowledge sharing, and (3) to investigate the influence of self-efficacy as a mediator toward working smart with knowledge sharing and toward work passion with knowledge sharing. The statistics used in this study involve frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression analysis at a significant level as 0.01. Working for the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation in both central and regional sections, 379 officers were recruited as a participant by using the stratified sampling. The results revealed that (1) working smart had a positive effect on self-efficacy and knowledge sharing, (2) work passion had a positive impact on self-efficacy and knowledge sharing, and (3) self-efficacy positively influenced knowledge sharing and found that self-efficacy played a role as the mediator toward working smart with knowledge sharing and toward work passion with knowledge sharing.
The government sector can apply the findings of the present study to be used in setting a policy, whereas the practice management can adapt to encouraging working smart, work passion, and self-efficacy. These factors then influence knowledge sharing that leads to a learning organization that enhances the ability and modernity of the government sector following the concept of Thailand 4.0.
