SUSTAINABLE WASTE MANAGEMENT OF THE PARTICIPATIVE MANAGEMENT

Solid waste management is a major cause in municipal. Thailand has increased solid waste every year. In 2022, the total of solid waste in Thailand amounted to almost 25.70 million metric tons. This effect of improper solid waste management has direct to ecosystem and social impacts. The population and economic growth have increased in consumption, which has more leftovers. This is incurred problems of solid waste which is affected in environment and hygiene issues. So, Integration of all stakeholders into sustainable solid waste management will stimulate the change and development accordingly. This article studies 1) Guidelines for solid waste management 2) Sustainable development concepts 3) Participative management concepts, and 4) Solid waste management law and policy in Thailand. The knowledge from this article will use as guidelines for solid waste development in any different organizations, as well as increase people’s participation in sustainable solid waste management in municipal accordingly.
