Abstract

The purposes of this research were to 1) develop factors and indicators of competency in English language learning management among teachers of Royal Thai Army service branch schools and 2) assess the suitability of factors and indicators of competency in English language learning management among teachers of Royal Thai Army service branch schools. The samples were 9 experts who are expertise in the fields of English language learning management, English language learning management in Army service branch school, and learning management in 21st century by using purposive sampling techniques.

The research instruments were 1) the semi-structured interview and 2) the Indexes of Item-Objective Congruence form of competency in English language learning management among teachers of Royal Thai Army service branch schools. The results revealed that the factors and indicators of competency in English language learning management among teachers of Royal Thai Army service branch schools consisted of 2 competencies, 9 components, 65 indicators; 1) core competency comprised of 4 components, 28 indicators, 2) functional competency consisted of 5 components, 37 indicators. Component and indicators of competency in English language learning management among teachers of Royal Thai Army service branch schools are in high and highest level of appropriateness and components and indicators are consistent.
