DEVELOPMENT OF MOBILE APPLICATION FOR SCREENING TEST KINDERGARTEN STUDENT AT RISK STUDENTS WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) develop a mobile application for screening test kindergarten student at risk student wit intellectual disability.  and 2) study the effects of using this mobile application for screening test kindergarten student at risk student wit intellectual disability. The research and development were conducted with a sample group of 34 preschool teachers in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya province. The research instruments used included a questionnaire on problems and needs related to screening, a screening tool for children at risk of intellectual disabilities, an evaluation of the application's performance, a satisfaction survey, and semi-structured interviews for the project analysis. The data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation, as well as content analysis.

 The results showed as follows:1. According to the results of the development of mobile applications for screening kindergarteners with intellectual disabilities, the technical level of mobile application design was at the highest level. In terms of overall performance, it was revealed that mobile applications were performing at the highest level. 2.The results of using a mobile application for screening kindergarten children at risk of intellectual disabilities found that, overall, teachers were satisfied with using the mobile application for screening kindergarten children at risk of intellectual disabilities at the highest level. When considering each aspect, it was found that teachers had the highest level of satisfaction in all aspects as follows: Utilization, Content, Display, Application Management and design respectively.

The findings from this research show that the i-TEAM mobile application is a tool for early childhood educators or individuals who are interested. It can be used to screen preschool children who are at risk of intellectual disabilities, in order to provide further assistance.
