บทคัดย่อ

สังคมต้องการคนดี คนเก่ง และคนที่มีความสุข จึงได้มีกระบวนการสร้างคนเพื่อการพัฒนาอย่างยั่งยืน ทั้งนี้เด็กและเยาวชนที่ดีมีคุณภาพ ย่อมเติบโตเป็นผู้ใหญ่ที่ดีและมีคุณภาพในอนาคต อย่างไรก็ตาม สังคมไทยยังประสบปัญหาเกี่ยวกับเด็กและเยาวชนบางกลุ่มที่มีพฤติกรรมไม่เหมาะสม สร้างความเดือนร้อนแก่สังคม ละเมิดชีวิตและทรัพย์สินผู้อื่น ตลอดจนเกี่ยวข้องกับยาเสพติดและการพนัน ดังที่ปรากฏเด็กและเยาวชนที่ต้องคดีในการะบวนการศาลยุติธรรมและรับไว้ ในสถานพินิจและคุ้มครองเด็กและเยาวชน สังกัดกรมพินิจและคุ้มครองเด็กและเยาวชน เด็กและเยาวชนกลุ่มนี้บางคนกระทำผิดรุนแรง และกระทำผิดซ้ำอย่างต่อเนื่อง พบว่าเด็กและเยาวชนจำนวนไม่น้อยที่พ้นไปจากสถานพินิจฯยังคงมีปัญหากับตนเองและสังคมเช่นเดิม แสดงให้เห็นถึง “การไม่สามารถพึ่งตนเองและไม่สามารถที่จะปรับตัวให้เข้ากับสังคมได้” บทความนี้ได้นำเสนอแนวทางในการศึกษาและพัฒนาพฤติกรรมการพึ่งตนเองและการปรับตัวของเด็กและเยาวชน ในสถานพินิจและคุ้มครองเด็กและเยาวชน โดยใช้รูปแบบปฏิสัมพันธ์นิยม ของ Magnuson & Endler (1977) เป็นกรอบแนวคิดการสร้างปัจจัยเชิงสาเหตุพร้อมกับการสร้างทักษะหรือพฤติกรรมนั้นโดยตรง
