IMPACT OF TOURISM MANAGEMENT ON LOCAL WISDOM IN KRATHUM BAEN DISTRICT, SAMUT SAKHON PROVINCE

This research article employed mixed methods methodologies using the concept of local wisdom tourism, management promotion of local wisdom, and the impact of tourism management on the promotion of local wisdom as a research framework. The research was conducted in Krathum Baen District, Samut Sakhon Province. The sample group consisted of 400 people living in Krathum Baen District, Samut Sakhon Province, selected through a Proportional Stratified Random Sampling method. The sampling was initially done using a simple random sampling method and then further randomized through a systematic random sampling method. The research tools included 1) an interview form, and 2) a questionnaire. For quantitative data analysis, descriptive statistics such as Percentage, Mean, Standard Deviation, and Multiple Regression Analysis were employed. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis and presented in descriptive reports.
The findings revealed as follows: 1) Tourism Management in Krathum Baen District, Samut Sakhon Province found that the overall opinion was at a high level ( = 4.00). When considering each aspect, it was found that infrastructure and utilities readiness had the highest mean ( = 4.08), followed by tourism resources and environment, ( = 3.99), and tourism marketing ( = 3.97), while facilities and tourist services had the lowest mean ( = 3.95). 2) Promotion of Local Wisdom in Krathum Baen District, Samut Sakhon Province revealed that the overall opinion was at a high level ( = 4.03). When considering each aspect, it was found that planning using local wisdom had the highest mean ( =4.07), followed by the assessment of the use of local wisdom ( =4.04) and the improvement of the use of local wisdom ( =4.04), while the use of local wisdom had the lowest mean ( = 3.98).
