การวิจัยนี้ ใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ เพื่อศึกษาองค์ความรู้เกษตรประณีตและการพัฒนาเกษตรกรต้นแบบ ของเครือข่ายปราชญ์ชาวบ้านภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ 12 เครือข่าย ในพื้นที่ 5 จังหวัด ขอนแก่น นครราชสีมา สุรินทร์ บุรีรัมย์ และอำนาจเจริญ กลุ่มเป้าหมายประกอบด้วย ปราชญ์ชาวบ้าน เกษตรกรต้นแบบ และผู้มีส่วนเกี่ยวข้อง ด้วยการสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วม การสัมภาษณ์เชิงลึก 97 คน สนทนากลุ่ม 10 กลุ่ม ผู้เข้าร่วม 75 คน บางคนมากกว่า 1 ครั้ง และประชุมเชิงปฏิบัติการ 2 ครั้ง ผู้เข้าร่วม 205 คน ระยะเวลารวม 12 เดือน ผลการวิจัย มีดังนี้ องค์ความรู้เกษตรประณีตของเครือข่ายปราชญ์ชาวบ้านภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ประกอบด้วย พอเพียง ใช้พื้นที่อย่างละเอียดลออ เลี้ยงและปลูกที่กินได้ สร้างประสบการณ์ตรง และพึ่งตนเอง การพัฒนาเกษตรกรต้นแบบของเครือข่ายปราชญ์ชาวบ้านภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ประกอบด้วย พัฒนาแนวคิด แลกเปลี่ยนเรียนรู้ ทำอย่างต่อเนื่อง และรวมกลุ่มพึ่งกันเอง
