การใช้ WebOPAC ของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น (The Use of Web Online Public Access Catalog of Undergraduate Students, Khon kaen University)

การศึกษาการใช้  WebOPAC   ของนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรี  มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการรับรู้และการเรียนรู้การใช้ WebOPAC  ศึกษาการใช้เมนู/คำสั่ง ปัญหาจากการใช้ WebOPAC และศึกษารูปแบบการที่ต้องการให้ห้องสมุดแนะนำวิธีการใช้ WebOPAC   เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล คือ แบบสอบถาม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลใช้วิธีหาค่าร้อยละ   ผลการวิจัยพบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่รับรู้และเรียนรู้วิธีการใช้ WebOPAC จากการเรียนวิชาการรู้สารสนเทศหรือทักษะการรู้สารสนเทศ  ด้านการใช้เมนู/คำสั่งของ WebOPAC พบว่า ในด้านทรัพยากรสารสนเทศที่สืบค้น  นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ สืบค้นหนังสือ รองลงมาคือ สืบค้นบทความวารสารภาษาไทย และสืบค้นโสตทัศนวัสดุ ส่วนการใช้เมนูอื่นๆ พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เคยตรวจสอบรายการที่ยืม/ยืมหนังสือและโสตทัศนวัสดุต่อด้วยตนเอง  รองลงมาคือ เคยยืมต่อทรัพยากรสารสนเทศด้วยตนเองได้ 1 ครั้ง  ด้านทางเลือกในการสืบค้น  พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ใช้ทางเลือกชื่อเรื่องในการสืบค้น หนังสือ/โสตทัศนวัสดุ และบทความวารสารภาษาไทย และในการสืบค้นหนังสือสำรองนักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ใช้ทางเลือกชื่อวิชา ส่วนการใช้ทางเลือกของเมนูช่วยการสืบค้น พบว่า ในการใช้ตรรกบูลีน นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ใช้ AND การเรียงลำดับผลการสืบค้น  พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เรียงลำดับผลการสืบค้นโดยใช้ชื่อเรื่อง ด้านการใช้เมนูค้นจากหลายแห่งพร้อมกัน พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ใช้ทางเลือกชื่อเรื่อง และนักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่มีความพึงพอใจต่อรูปแบบผลการสืบค้นในระดับมาก ด้านปัญหาในการใช้ WebOPAC พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่เห็นว่าเป็นปัญหาในระดับมาก คือ ปัญหาด้านผู้ใช้ค้นรายการทรัพยากรสารสนเทศได้แต่ไม่พบตัวเล่ม ส่วนรูปแบบที่ต้องการให้ห้องสมุดแนะนำวิธีการใช้ WebOPAC  คือ แนะนำการใช้ผ่านเว็บไซด์ของห้องสมุด

ABSTRACT

The objective of this research was to study the Khon Kaen University undergraduate students’ perceiving and learning WebOPAC, its instructional menus. problems of WebOPAC using and appropriate WebOPAC instructional guidelines for the users. Questionnaires were used as the research instrument to collect data. The data was analyzed by using percentage. The study found that most of the students perceived and learned the WebOPAC through the course of Information Literacy or Information Literacy Skills. According to information resource searching, the study revealed that the books were always searched by the students.  In addition to the books, Thai journals and audio-visual works were frequently searched by the students. For other searching menus, most of the students used to apply the menu of self check or renew items and used to renew their information resources by themselves. According to the searching alternatives and the satisfaction in the format of result displaying, the study revealed that most of the students used the title to search for the  books or audio-visual works and Thai journals. Moreover, most of the students used subject to search for the reserved books. The study found that the students always used AND when they retrieved the book by using Boolean Logic. Additionally, the students used titles when they used System Sorted to access the books. According to the menu for multi-searching, it found that the students used title to search for the information resources and the satisfaction of the students towards the format of result displaying was at high level. For result of the problems of using WebOPAC it was found that the students always encountered the problems of retrieving and finding the books via WebOPAC. In addition, the students requested that the library provide instructional guidelines in using WebOPAC through the library website.
