    บทความนี้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งของการศึกษาซึ่งมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาการส่งเสริม การอ่านของผู้ปกครองนักเรียน โรงเรียนบรบือ อำเภอบรบือ จังหวัดมหาสารคาม เครื่องมือ ที่ใช้ในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลได้แก่ แบบสอบถาม โดยเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้ปกครอง ของนักเรียนชั้นมัธยมศึกษาปีที่ 1 จำนวน 204 คน ผลการศึกษาแสดงให้เห็นว่า ผู้ปกครอง ส่วนใหญ่มีการส่งเสริมการอ่านให้กับนักเรียนอยู่ในระดับปานกลาง โดยพบว่าปัญหาส่วน ใหญ่เกิดจากผู้ปกครองส่วนใหญ่ไม่มีเวลา หรือขาดเวลาในการทำกิจกรรมต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับการอ่านร่วมกันกับเด็ก รวมถึงผู้ปกครองยังขาดความรู้ ความเข้าใจ วิธีการและเทคนิค ที่จะช่วยในการส่งเสริมการอ่านให้กับเด็กอีกด้วย

Abstract

    This article is a study aimed to fi nd level of reading encouragement of the parents of students from Borabue School, Borabue District, MahaSarakham Province. Questionnaires were used as research tool to collect information from 204 parents of Muttayomsuksa1 students. Results of the study showed that the majority of parents encouraged their children to read at moderate level. The study found that most parents could not afford to have time to participate in reading activities with children. In addition, parents still had insuffi cient skills and techniques of how to encourage their children to read.
