Abstract

Interpersonal communication, in the education context, plays an important role in not only transferring lessons to learners, but also i being a tool for organizational management, internal organization coordination, enhancement of relationships among personnel and between teachers and learners. Also, it fosters collaboration and supports from personnel of various work units in enabling the organization to achieve its goals and carry out its mission in response to society’s expectation. In addition, interpersonal communication plays other roles in transferring knowledge and enhancing learning competencies of learners at an individual, organizational, and social levels. To illuminate the value and significance of fundamental communication in education context, and to reflect directions for improving and making interpersonal communication succeed, this article focuses on the importance of interpersonal communication at individual, organizational and social levels as well as factors influencing the effectiveness of interpersonal communication.
