Professional learning community of Secondary Mathematic Teachers

This survey research explored learning communities of 420 heads of mathematic departments and mathematic teachers of 140 small, medium, large, and extra-large high schools of the secondary educational service area 19-33. Questionnaires were sent to the sample group and 407 or 96.90% rate of return was achieved. The collected data were then analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The findings indicated that the learning communities conducted their operation at the high level ( =4.22). When looking at each operation activity, it was found that the communities’ planning and work outcomes,
and operation engagement were also at the top level at =4.25 and =4.19 respectively.
