Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the information literacy competency of undergraduate students of Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University based on sexes, faculties or schools, years of study, and formulating guidelines for developing their information literacy skills. The study sample comprised 390 undergraduate students who enrolled in the 2nd semester of 2015. The research tools for collecting data were questionnaire and guided questions for focus group discussion. The collected data were then analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and F test.

The fndings indicated that the students’ information literacy skills were at the high level ( = 3.81, S.D = 0.83), and their skills and awareness were found to meet those 5 information literacy standards. In addition, students’ sexes, faculties and years of study were found to indicate the signifcantly different level of information literacy at 0.5.
