Thailand - Guangdong Trade: Problems and Solution

Abstract

Guangdong is located at the Southern China Region. It is close to Southeast Asia Countries, not only the location, but also the culture. Thailand and Guangdong have been created the close relationship since the ancient time. This has played a very important role in the trade relation between two areas. Thailand's international trade data shows that a total amount of Canton-Thai trade takes 1/3 of Sino-Thai trade value. As the matter of this fact, Thai Government takes Guangdong as the significant business partner in People Republic of China. Even if Canton-Thai trade value has annually been increasing, Thailand takes just the 3rd place of Guangdong's major business partners among ASEAN countries which headed by Singapores and Malaysia. It's visible that we still have a potential to level up the business relations with Guangdong since Thailand has got the geographical distinction. This study is aimed to provide Canton-Thai trade data, problems and obstacles, including the solutions to develop the business relationship between Thailand and Guangdong steadily and sustainably
