Area Development for Personalize and Precision Poverty Alleviation: A Case Study of Roi Et Province
Main Article Content
Abstract
In the past, efforts to alleviate poverty in Roi Et Province have been implemented in accordance with governmental policies. Nonetheless, poverty is still a persistent problem for the people. Thus, data from the TP MAP tool, used to identify individuals living in poverty and their associated issues have been utilized to enhance the living conditions, in line with the research objectives. 1) to analyze the causes, problems, and patterns that lead to poverty among the target group, and 2) to design a poverty alleviation system and model that align with the specific issues and contexts of the target group, enabling the transfer of assistance to the poor through government agencies, the private sector, and civil society. The study found that the causes of poverty include lack of farmland, low agricultural productivity, limited access to funding, insufficient water sources for farming, and health problems. The poverty alleviation model for the pilot area in Tambon Dong Khrang Noi seeks to empower impoverished households to become self-sufficient and cultivate sustainable livelihoods through the "Agriculture for Prosperity" and "Leadership for Well-being" Model. The model comprises three key components: 1) caged-layer poultry production, 2) raised-bed vegetable farming, and 3) the "Leadership for Well-being" initiative.
