Abstract

This research aimed to: (1) develop English presentation learning activities for Grade 8 students using Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) integrated with artificial intelligence (AI); (2) improve students’ English presentation skills; and (3) investigate students’ satisfaction with the learning activities. The participants were 40 Grade 8 students enrolled in the English for Presentation course at Satri Nakhonsawan School during the second semester of the 2025 academic year. They were selected through purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of four lesson plans covering 20 instructional hours, an English presentation skills assessment rubric, and a student satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and percentage.

The findings revealed that: (1) the developed learning activities incorporated the CALI components: communicative competence, authentic communication, learner-centered learning, participation, and interaction. The activities followed the five-stage W3PR model: Warm-up, Presentation, Practice, Production, and Reflection. The overall quality of the lesson plans was rated at the highest level (equation =4.72, S.D.=0.41). Regarding presentation skills, 30 students (75.00%) achieved the specified passing criterion of at least 70%. In terms of performance levels, 8 students were rated excellent, 28 good, and 4 moderate. (2) Among the presentation skill dimensions, language use received the highest mean score (15.73), followed by presentation and communication skills (14.85), content and organization (14.83), use of media and technology (14.58), and communicative fluency (13.80). (3) Overall student satisfaction with the learning activities was rated at the highest level (equation=4.51, S.D.=0.58).
