STUDY OF THE ERRORS IN CHINESE ATTRIBUTIVE USAGE OF SECOND YEAR CHINESE MAJORED STUDENTS AT MUBAN CHOMBUENG RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

        The objective of this research is to study the errors on the use of attributive made by 2"-year Thai students majoring in Chinese from Muban Chombueng Rajabhat University of Thailand

        From 63 essays written by these students, three types of errors are found: the redundancy, the omission error, and the misordering error. The causes of these errors are: the interference of mother tongue, the interlingual interference, and the students' unclear understanding of Chinese grammar rules.

        The result of the analysis shows that these three types of errors occur 92 times. The order of occurring error from the most to the least is as follows: the misordering error 35 times (38.04%), the omission error 32 times (34.78%), and the redundancy 25 times (27.18%).
