Publication Ethics

The Research Journal of Muban Chom Bueng Rajabhat University on Humanities and Social Sciences determines the roles and duties of editors, reviewers, and authors according to the ethical standards for publishing journal articles as follows:

 

Editors’ Ethical Responsibilities

Editors are responsible for:

  • reviewing and evaluating the papers' quality and content with the qualified editorial board of the journal before publication;
  • approving or rejecting papers for publication in accordance with the requirements of the journal regardless of personal relationships (importance, recency, clarity, and relevance to the criteria of the journal);
  • certifying the quality of the papers;
  • allowing authors the freedom to convey their academic opinions while ensuring the academic work’s correctness;
  • maintaining the confidentiality of stakeholders’ personal information in the journal preparation;
  • protecting editorial freedom and following procedure seriously in the journal preparation;
  • upholding and improving journal standards to ensure excellent quality consistently.

 

Reviewers’ Ethical Responsibilities

  • Reviewers must have knowledge, experience, and expertise in their field in order to approve or reject papers for publication with fairness and academic accuracy in the science, without bias or personal opinions, and without a conflict of interest with the author.
  • Reviewers must be punctual.
  • Reviewers must respect the authors' confidentiality.
  • Reviewers must refrain from requesting advantages during the evaluation process.
  • Reviewers must assist the editors in making decisions when considering the papers for publication.

 

Authors' Ethical Responsibilities

  • Authors must think, research, review, analyze, summarize, compile, and cite the sources on their own, which the editors will not be responsible for.
  • Authors must uphold moral principles, not claim the works of others as their own, not plagiarize the works of others, respect, and cite the sources used in the papers.
  • The individual whose name appears as the author in the papers must truly be participating in this academic work.
  • Authors must respect the academic opinions of others and be willing to revise their papers in compliance with advice on the right journal format in accordance with the academic standards.
  • The papers submitted to the journal must not have been previously published or be under consideration for publication in other journals. If the paper is discovered to be duplicated, the author will bear sole responsibility.
