Abstract

This article aims to study politics of race in Trinettip (2014) and Tutiyaasun (2015) In Nawahimaphan novel series through retelling, technique for construction the social context of literature creation. This is causing some critiques in society from creation of contemporary work. Story of Nawahimaphan is a reconstruction of the Himaphan which collapses and emergence of groups of races cause social change that appears from original texts to retelling, until leading to relationship between races of text. This is a politics of race of Himaphan characters that are presented through tribe creatures, cross-class romance, and the creation of inhuman hybrids. The study emphasizes a power structure from Himaphan which collapses presents sacred deity and demon, and reconstructing a power structure through inhuman hybrids character. These are critiques of relations between characters that live together in contemporary society.
