Project Evaluation, “Buddhism Unity”: Guidelines for the Development of Royal Thai Naval Cadets in Accordance to “Clean Navy” Policy
Abstract
The Project, “Buddhism Unity”
had purposes to evaluate the project :
Guidelines for the Development of Royal
Thai Naval Cadets in Accordance to “Clean
Navy” Policy and follow the policy Clean
Navy using Stufflebeam CIPP Model, and
also to maintain good traditions and culture,
and become a role model. The project aim
to develop good social leadership for the
cadets. The project’s activities are being
carried out starting from planning, exploring
the places for conducting activities, then
participating in various Buddhist activities
and promoting through social media. The
last step is to enter the project evaluation
and prepare a work report. There were qualitative indicators of project activities, which
were obtained from interviews with project
participants on relevant activity topics to
assess the results of the four dimensions
namely: environment factors, input factors,
process, and product of the project
The result obtained from the project is that the cadets could develop their
minds. They would have a better memory
with clear, pure and peace of mind. The
result also gave the cadets becoming more
careful on consideration which creates
wisdom and concentration in doing things,
resulting in greater efficiency in learning and
practice. It also helped the cadets to have
a better personality, making them become
more energetic, more majestic and more
confident in themselves. They learned to
control their emotion, and had to relieve
their stress from studying and training. It
created a unity among participants which
were cadets, parents, civil servants, families
and other participants from outside institutions.
Our suggestions are to promote and develop
the personality of the cadet Self-confidence,
as well as activities that promote the mood
of cadets in harmony with good traditions
and culture which are in line with the stated
project objectives and activities. Lastly, we
suggest that this project should be integrated,
which should be in line, with the strategy
of the cadet development and promotion
program for a concrete continuation and
sustainability.
