Publication Ethics
RMUTT Global Business and Economics Review

To ensure that the RMUTT Global Business and Economics Review adheres to academic standards and ethical guidelines, the editorial board has outlined the roles and responsibilities of all parties involved in the publishing process, including: 1) Editor, 2) Peer Reviewer and 3) Author. The following ethical guidelines are established to ensure mutual understanding among these parties and to promote ethical academic practices, ultimately enhancing the quality, credibility and scholarly value of the published articles.
Ethical Standards for Authors
- Authors must confirm that the article submitted to RMUTT Global Business and Economics Review has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere for publication.
- Authors must format their manuscripts according to the journal’s specified guidelines as found in the Instructions for Authors and strictly follow the standardized format.
- Authors must strictly adhere to research ethics and avoid all forms of plagiarism, whether intentional or unintentional. This includes copying the work of others or self-plagiarism. The journal uses CopyCat (Thaijo) to detect plagiarism with a maximum allowable similarity index of 25%, effective from January 1, 2020.
- Authors must properly cite all sources of literature, tables, images and figures used in their manuscripts. In the case of copyright infringement or legal actions, the responsibility lies solely with the authors. The journal reserves the right to retract the article.
- All listed co-authors must have directly contributed to the article or research. Inclusion of individuals who have not contributed will result in the article’s retraction upon discovery.
- Authors must ensure the accuracy, completeness and proper formatting of citations and references. Only sources that have been genuinely reviewed or studied should be included.
- Authors must revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers' suggestions within the given timeframe. If there are limitations to implementing a suggestion, the authors must provide justification to the editorial board. Failure to revise in time may result in the postponement or rejection of the article.
- Authors must maintain integrity in research reporting. This includes avoiding false claims, data fabrication or manipulation of results and ensuring that all conclusions are based on ethically conducted research.
Ethical Standards for Editors
- Editors are responsible for managing and overseeing the journal's operations in line with its aims and objectives.
- Editors must uphold academic and ethical integrity throughout the editorial process, adhering to guidelines established by the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI).
- Editors must maintain the confidentiality of both authors and reviewers during the double-blind peer review process and beyond.
- Editors must prevent all forms of copyright infringement, including plagiarism and self-plagiarism, using CopyCat (Thaijo) with a set limit of 25% similarity.
- Editors are responsible for ensuring that only articles that have undergone full and proper peer review, and meet the journal’s standards, are selected for publication.
- Editors must remain impartial and avoid any conflict of interest with authors or reviewers, upholding transparency and academic integrity.
Ethical Standards for Peer Reviewers
- Reviewers must assess only those articles that fall within their areas of expertise to provide accurate and academically sound feedback.
- Reviewers must avoid conflicts of interest, direct or indirect, with the authors or other parties related to the article and must not accept inappropriate benefits.
- Reviewers must maintain objectivity, providing unbiased and academically justified comments. They should avoid delay and submit evaluations within the stipulated timeframe.
- Reviewers must keep the article content confidential and must not share it with unauthorized individuals, even after the review process is complete.
- Reviewers must accept review invitations only if they are qualified and available to perform a thorough and timely evaluation. If unable to do so, they should immediately notify the editor.
- Reviewers must notify the editor immediately if they detect any form of ethical misconduct, such as plagiarism or content duplication and must provide supporting evidence.
