Abstract

In this study the objective is to study factors affecting steel bar price in Thailand. This study used secondary data from Office of the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Commerce, The Iron and Steel Institute of Thailand (ISIT), Office of the National Economic and Social Development Board and Bureau of Trade and Economic indices. This study found that steel bar apparent used quantity import price export price and Thailand’s GNP can explain steel bar price cover to 87.87 percent with significance level of 0.05. The export price and Thailand’s GNP can explain steel bar price in the same direction with significance level of 0.05. The steel bar apparent used quantity and import price can explain steel bar price in the same direction with significance level of 0.05.
