THE STUDY OF DEMAND FOR LABOR IN THE EASTERN REGION FOR 5 YEARS AHEAD (2018-2022)

Abstract

This research aims to study and analyze supply and demand for labor in the eastern region during year 2018-2022. This research uses the mixed method including the quantitative and qualitative methods. The time series of secondary data is utilized as the quantitative method which it was occurred during year 2007-2016 for 10 years totally. In-depth interview is utilized for the qualitative method with 15 entrepreneurs of eastern manufacturer, 3 agencies or manpower associations, and 1 representative of the department of employment. The results of quantitative method illustrate that the estimated equation in term of Cobb Douglas Production Function is the net capital stock that means the elasticity of capital factor equals to 1.124 and labor factor equals to -0.10 that it expresses increasing in capital factors affect Gross Domestic Product increased in significantly. The result of qualitative method shows that the consideration of application for Thai labors thoroughly consider in the organization meanwhile immigrant workers exhaustively focus on income. This causes to enhancing of the number of immigrant workers in a few years ago.
