A DEVELOPMENT OF INFORMATION SYSTEM FOR REMAINDER BUDGET AT KING MONGKUT'S UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY NORTH BANGKOK

Abstract

This experimental research is A Development of Information system for Remainder Budget at King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. The purposes of this research were as follows, 1) to develop the Information system for Remainder Budget of King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, 2) to assess the developed system using test case, and 3) to assess the quality of the developed system 4) to assess the satisfaction of the developed system by experts in information technology area and to find the satisfaction of users after using the developed system. The current operating condition the operational procedures may delay the disbursement, unable to verify the status of the application and have to wait for the board's resolution to support  the disbursement. Therefore, it is appropriate to reduce the disbursement process. The system for this research is a web application using PHP as a tool for developing the main system and use MySQL for this database. The research tools were 2questionnaires as follows, the quality questionnaire for experts to evaluate the quality of the developed system, and the satisfaction questionnaire for users to find the satisfaction after using the developed system. After the system was tested by researcher and modified some module for better working,  the system has been assessed by 6experts selected  by purposive sampling and  171 users in King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok. 

The system consisteds of 3 parts: users, financial staffs in faculties, and financial staffs in financial division. The expert revealed that the quality of the system by experts was at high level (=4.49,S.D.=0.80) and the satisfaction of the system by users after using was at very good level (= 4.40, S.D.= 0.60). In conclusion, this system can properly be used in to support the remainder budget management process.
