INFORMATION SYSTEM TO MANAGE STUDENT ACTIVITIES , A CASE STUDY OF KANCHANABURI RAJABHAT UNIVERSITY

Abstract

          This research study aimed 1) to develop an information system for student activity management at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University, and 2) to assess the efficiency and satisfaction of the information system for student activity management at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University. The tools used in the system development included HTML, PHP and java script using MySQL databases. Editplus and Adobe Dreamweaver programs were used based on relational database design principles. The design and development of the system were developed to require users to fill in as little information as possible. To assess the efficiency of the system and the satisfaction of the users of the system, the Back Box Testing software was used. The tool was a questionnaire based on a 5-level rating scale. All scores were used to calculate the mean and standard deviation

            The results of the research were as follows: 1) The Information system for student activity management at Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University could be used for the intended purpose. Users were divided into categories. The system could be accessed via the Internet or Ethernet within the university through web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla firefox, etc; 2) The system performance evaluation by 3 experts showed the average score of 4.48, with the standard deviation of 0.54. The efficiency of the system was found to be at a high level. The satisfaction of 3 groups of 120 users showed a mean score of 4.32, with the standard deviation of 0.57. The satisfaction was found to be at a high level.
