The Development of music stories based on Carl Orff For Improving creativity in Eary Childhood

This research aims to: 1. Develop music stories based on Carl Orff's approach to improve creativity in early childhood. 2. Investigate the impact of music stories based on Carl Orff's approach on creativity in early childhood. The participants were 10 kindergarten-three students attending the first semester of the academic year 2023 at Anuban Buriram School, Buriram Province, Thailand. They participated in 9 music stories, 2 times per week for 45 minutes each. The research instruments were: 1) music story plans based on Carl Orff's approach, 2) creativity observation form, and 3) creativity observation assessments form. The data were analyzed using statistics, including mean, standard deviation, and T-test.
The research results are as follows: 1) The development of music stories based on Carl Orff's approach involved the integration of Carl Orff's music stories, Guilford’s theories of creativity, and narratives. This resulted in activities that used stories to depict situations and were linked to Carl Orff's music stories to foster creativity in accordance with Guilford’s theories of creativity 2) The results of implementing music stories based on Carl Orff's approach had a significant effect on the creative thinking of the kindergarten students before and after participating in the activities. The creative thinking of the students after the implementation was higher than before at a statistically significant level of .01.
