Announcement of Changes the Reference Formatting Style
Posted on 2022-09-29Chiang Mai University Journal of Humanities uses the APA 7th edition (American Psychological Association) Citation Style. Names and surnames of the writers must be appended with the year published and the page number of the citation.
References should be written in APA 7th Edition (American Psychological Association format) with the following details:
1) For Thai language articles
- If the reference source is in Thai, the bibliography should be in Thai.
- If the reference source is in English or another foreign language, the bibliography should be in English. The author may separate the language categories into a distinct section after the Thai-language bibliography.
- Since the journal primarily considers the language used in the referenced content, if the content of a reference source is in Thai but the author’s name appears in English (e.g., information from a website), the author should place this reference at the end of the Thai language reference list.
2) For English language articles
- If the reference source is in English, the bibliography should be in English.
- If the reference source is in Thai or another foreign language, the author should translate the bibliography into English and include the title of the book, article, or information in Thai or the original language in square brackets [ ] after the English title.
This change is effective from Volume 24, Issue 1: January-April 2023 onwards.
