Abstract
The role of peacekeepers under the United Nations (UN)
umbrella has been recognized for decades. More than 60 peacekeeping
operations have been conducted by thousands of peacekeepers
since 1948. In Liberia, peacekeepers are required to work under high
pressure toward Ebola epidemic. Ebola is not only the main reason
that stagnates the economic in Liberia, but it also directly affects
the national security and the sustainable peace, making the United
Nations difficult to effectively hand over its responsibility to
the government of Liberia.
To deal with Ebola crisis, making a security plan to
ensure that all UN personnel and the people of Liberia are safe is
undoubtedly necessary for the United Nations.
