พฤติกรรมการรู้สารสนเทศของนักศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยธนบุรี

Abstract

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีความมุ่งหมายเพื่อศึกษาแนวทาง วิธีการ และรูปแบบของการศึกษาค้นคว้า การใช้แหล่งสารสนเทศ วิธีประเมินสารสนเทศ และอุปสรรคปัญหาในกระบวนการศึกษาค้นคว้า เพื่อทำงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายในชั้นเรียนและเพื่อแก้ปัญหาต่างๆ ในชีวิตประจำวัน กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือ นักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยธนบุรี ระดับปริญญาตรี ที่กำลังศึกษาอยู่ชั้นปีที่ 2-4 ภาคเรียนที่ 2 ปีการศึกษา 2554 จำนวน 315 คน โดยใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล   

ผลการวิจัยพฤติกรรมการค้นหาสารสนเทศเพื่อทำงานที่ได้รับมอบหมาย พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ทำงานเกี่ยวกับการนำเสนอผลงานในชั้นเรียนเพื่อประกอบรายงาน โดยใช้ทรัพยากรประเภทโปรแกรมค้นหา ประเมินสารสนเทศที่ค้นหาได้จากห้องสมุดโดยพิจารณาจากบรรณานุกรมหรือรายการอ้างอิง ประเมินแหล่งข้อมูลในเวิลด์ไวด์เว็บโดยคำนึงถึงความทันสมัยของเว็บไซต์ นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ขอให้เพื่อนที่เรียนด้วยกันและอาจารย์ผู้สอนช่วยประเมินแหล่งข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวกับวิชาที่เรียน มีวิธีการศึกษาค้นคว้างานโดยเริ่มต้นจากการคิดหาคำค้น ใช้โปรแกรมแชร์เอกสารเป็นเครื่องมือสำคัญในการช่วยการค้นคว้า สิ่งสำคัญต่อการศึกษาค้นคว้าคือ การสอบผ่านวิชานั้นๆ และความยากในกระบวนการค้นคว้าคือ ยากที่จะรู้ว่าสามารถทำงานชิ้นนี้ได้ดีหรือไม่

พฤติกรรมการค้นคว้าในชีวิตประจำวัน พบว่า นักศึกษาส่วนใหญ่ค้นคว้าหัวข้อข่าว/เหตุการณ์ปัจจุบัน โดยใช้ทรัพยากรประเภทโปรแกรมค้นหา ประเมินแหล่งข้อมูลในเวิลด์ไวด์เว็บโดยคำนึงถึงความทันสมัยของเว็บไซต์ และนักศึกษาขอให้เพื่อนที่เรียนด้วยกันช่วยประเมินแหล่งข้อมูลต่างๆ ส่วนความยากในกระบวนการค้นคว้าคือ ยากที่การหาข้อมูลจากเว็บไซต์

เปรียบเทียบพฤติกรรมการค้นคว้าเพื่อทำงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายในรายวิชาต่างๆ และการค้นคว้าในชีวิตประจำวันพบว่า ประเด็นที่เหมือนกันคือ ประเภทของทรัพยากรที่นักศึกษาใช้คือโปรแกรม ค้นหา นักศึกษาคำนึงถึงความทันสมัยของเว็บไซต์ในการประเมินแหล่งข้อมูลในเวิลด์ไวด์เว็บ นักศึกษาขอให้เพื่อนที่เรียนด้วยกันช่วยประเมินแหล่งข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวกับวิชาที่เรียนและแหล่งข้อมูลต่างๆ ในชีวิตประจำวัน นักศึกษาไม่ค่อยใช้บรรณารักษ์ในฐานะทรัพยากร และไม่เคยใช้บรรณารักษ์ช่วยประเมินแหล่งข้อมูลหรือแนะนำการใช้เว็บไซต์ ส่วนประเด็นที่ต่างกัน คือ ความยากในกระบวนการค้นคว้าเพื่อทำงานที่ได้รับมอบหมายคือ ยากที่จะรู้ว่าสามารถทำงานชิ้นนี้ได้ดีหรือไม่ ส่วนความยากในกระบวน การค้นคว้าในชีวิตประจำวัน คือ ยากที่การหาข้อมูลจากเว็บไซต์

INFORMATION BEHAVIORS OF THONBURI UNIVERSITY STUDENTS

The purpose of this research is to study the process, methods, and the form of researching, the use of information resources, how to evaluate and difficulties encountered throughout the study process in order to do their assignments in the classroom and to solve the various problems in during the second semester in academic year 2011, Thonburi University. The method to collect the data of this research was the questionnaires. The example group of this research was 315 2^nd to 4^th year undergraduate students

The result of this research showed as follow.

1. Information Technology seeking behavior to work that was assigned found that most of the students work on their reports to present in the classroom and they tend to use the browse program as resources. Evaluate information that search from the library by considering the bibliography or the list of references. Evaluate information on the World Wide Web with regard to the topicality of the website. Most students asked friends and teachers for helping them to evaluate the source of information about the subjects studied. They also have the technique to search the contents start by using the keywords using a shared document programs which are key tool to help in research. The important thing of the study is to pass the exam. The difficulty in the searching process is it’s hard to know that their papers are good or not.

2. According to the research’s behavior in everyday life found that most students search news' headlines, present events by using the Searching program as a resource. Source of information evaluated by thinking of the topicality, asked their friends to help each other to evaluate the information. The difficulty of the searching process is that it's very hard to find any information from the website.

3. To compare the behavior in searching information from the website after studying and have to do the assignments related to that course in everyday life. The researcher found the same points that is the use of the source of the information the students used the searching program based on the topicality of the website. They helped each other to evaluate the source of the information in World Wide Web concerned with their subjects or something that they used in everyday life. The students rarely asked for help from the librarians, to evaluate or introduce how to use the website as one of the resources. The different point is the difficult in searching the website for their assignments; they don’t know they did their works well or not. The difficult of the searching process about something that they used in everyday life is that it’s hard to find the information from the website.
