การศึกษาคำบวงสรวงในประเพณีและพิธีกรรมทางล้านนาที่ส่งผลต่อวิถีชีวิตของประชาชนในจังหวัดเชียงราย

Abstract

งานวิจัยเรื่องการศึกษาคำบวงสรวงในประเพณีและพิธีกรรมทางล้านนาที่ส่งผลต่อวิถีชีวิตของประชาชนในจังหวัดเชียงราย  มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคำบวงสรวงในประเพณีและพิธีกรรมของล้านนาในจังหวัดเชียงราย ทั้งในด้านบริบท ประเภท ค่านิยม รูปแบบ ความเชื่อ และ ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคำบวงสรวงและพิธีกรรมกับวิถีชีวิตของประชาชนในจังหวัดเชียงราย

กลุ่มเป้าหมายในการศึกษาวิจัยครั้งนี้ คือกลุ่มบุคคลที่เป็นผู้นำประกอบพิธีกรรมบวงสรวงในพื้นที่ 4 อำเภอของจังหวัดเชียงราย ประกอบด้วยอำเภอเมืองเชียงราย อำเภอแม่สรวย อำเภอแม่ลาว และอำเภอเวียงชัย อำเภอละ 3 คน รวมจำนวน 12 คน ซึ่งได้มาด้วยการเลือกแบบเฉพาะเจาะจง (Purposive Sampling) 
เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ (Qualitative Research) ผลจากการศึกษาวิจัยได้ข้อสรุปดังนี้

1. ด้านบริบทของคำบวงสรวงในประเพณีและพิธีกรรมทางล้านนาของจังหวัดเชียงราย  ผู้วิจัยได้ศึกษาใน 4 ด้าน ประกอบด้วย  ด้านความเป็นมาของการบวงสรวง พบว่า พิธีกรรมการบวงสรวงมีการปฏิบัติและสืบทอดต่อๆ กันมาจนกลายเป็นประเพณีของชุมชนและท้องถิ่นในจังหวัดเชียงรายจวบจนถึงในปัจจุบัน ด้านความหมายของคำบวงสรวง สรุปได้ว่าคำบวงสรวง คือ คำกล่าวที่ใช้ในการสวดหรือท่องแบบมีทำนองในประเพณีและพิธีกรรมทางล้านนา  หรือเป็นคำกล่าวในการอัญเชิญสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่เคารพนับถือมารับรู้และเป็นประจักษ์พยานในประเพณีและพิธีกรรม แสดงออกถึงความเคารพยำเกรงในสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ตลอดจนนำไปสู่เป้าหมายที่กำหนด  ด้านความสำคัญของพิธีกรรมบวงสรวง พบว่า การบวงสรวงมีความสำคัญต่อการดำรงชีวิตของประชาชนในจังหวัดเชียงรายอย่างยิ่ง เป็นกิจกรรมทางวัฒนธรรมที่สร้างความสงบสุขร่มเย็นให้เกิดขึ้นในชุมชนและท้องถิ่น  ส่งเสริมสิริมงคล ความสามัคคี และกำลังใจให้แก่ประชาชนและชุมชน  ด้านพื้นที่ที่มีการประกอบพิธีกรรมบวงสรวง พบว่า พื้นที่การประกอบพิธีกรรมบวงสรวงทั้ง 4 อำเภอของจังหวัดเชียงราย  มีภูมิประเทศ สภาพความเป็นอยู่ และวิถีชีวิตของประชาชนแตกต่างกัน ส่วนใหญ่ยังคงมีการประกอบพิธีกรรมการบวงสรวง และมีผู้นำในการประกอบพิธีกรรมประจำแต่ละตำบล 

2. ด้านประเภทของคำบวงสรวงในประเพณีและพิธีกรรมทางล้านนาของจังหวัดเชียงรา พบว่า
คำบวงสรวงในประเพณีและพิธีกรรมทางล้านนาของจังหวัดเชียงรายมี 2 ประเภท คือ การบวงสรวงบูชาเพื่อยกย่องสดุดีกษัตริย์หรือบุคคลสำคัญที่มีคุณูปการต่อบ้านเมืองและประชาชนทั้งระดับท้องถิ่นและระดับประเทศ  และการบวงสรวงบูชาเพื่อแสดงออกถึงความเคารพยำเกรงต่อสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์หรือสิ่งเหนือธรรมชาติ

A STUDY OF WORSIPPING WORDS IN  LANNA CULTURAL AND CEREMONIAL ACTIVITIES WHICH EFFECT WAYS OF LIFE OF THE RESIDENTS IN CHIANGRAI PROVINCE

An investigation of worshipping words in Lanna traditions and ceremonies which affect people’s ways of life in Chiangrai Province aimed to examine the worshipping words in their contexts, types, values, styles, beliefs and the relationship between the worshipping words and the ways of life of Chiangrai residents.  The targeted group for the study included the ceremonial activity leaders in the four districts of Chiangrai Province: Muang District, Mae Suay District, Mae Lao District, and Wieng Chai District. 3 informants were drawn as the representatives of the districts and they were totally 12 people selected through purposive random sampling.  The data were collected by qualitative methods and the analysis was conducted through descriptive analysis. The results of the study are as follows.

1. The role of the worshipping words in Lanna traditions and ceremonies of Chiangrai Province on the history of the worshipping words appeared that the worshipping ceremonies have been transferred from generations to generations and they have become the community traditions of Chiangrai Province till present. On the worshipping word meanings, it illustrated that the words were the verses used to chant and preach following the original rhythms created by Lanna traditions and ceremonies. Or they are probably the words used to sacredly invite the respectful spirits to perceive and witness the traditional and ceremonial activities and the worshippers organized these activities to show their respect towards the sacred things and to make them achieve their goals and intention. On the importance of the worshipping ceremonies, it appeared that they were influential towards Chiangrai people ways of life. They were the cultural activities which created peace and harmony among the local residents. They also blessed the luck, harmony, and moral support for the worshippers. On the areas where the worshipping ceremonies were managed, it was found that the 4 districts had different geographical features, living states, and ways of life. Most of the residents in these areas still kept the ceremonies with them and continued practicing the worshipping activities in different areas.

2. On the types of worshipping words in Lanna traditions and ceremonies in Chiangrai Province, it appeared that there were found 2 types of Lanna worshipping words. The first type is the worshipping words on complementing the monarchs and important people who have provided graces to the communities and people of the country. The second type is worshipping ceremony which is conducted to show the worshipper’s appreciation and respect to the sacred things and supernatural phenomena.
