Developing a Warehouse Management Model for building Paint Products using Techniques Case Study on ABC Classification Analysis XYZ Enterprise Limited

Abstract

The objectives of this research are as follows: 1) study the current issues with warehouse stocking patterns, 2) design a new warehouse stocking pattern, and 3) evaluate the performance of both the old and new warehouse stocking patterns. This is a mixed-methods explanatory research. The quantitative research involves data collection on the warehouse management patterns of architectural paint products in Nonthaburi Province, using the ABC Classification Analysis technique. The qualitative research utilizes in-depth interviews with key informants, including five employees of the case study company. Data was collected between May and July 2023. The research findings indicate that during May to July 2023, Group A products accounted for 20.17% of the total number of items and had a total product value of 183,253 Baht. Group B products comprised 20% of the total number of items with a total product value of 247,865 Baht. Meanwhile, Group C products accounted for 71.67% of the total number of items, with a total product value of 477,349 Baht. In terms of the workflow for product withdrawals from the warehouse after the adjustments, it took a total time of 12.06 minutes and involved three employees.
