FACTORS INFLUENCING NATIONAL INCOME OF THAILAND

Abstract

Abstract

This study was divided into two parts of objectives as follows: Part 1) A study of factors affecting real private consumption, real private investment, government expenditures, exports of goods and services, as well as imports of goods and services. Part 2) Bringing the various variables of Part 1 to study impacts on national income. The researcher was conducted by studying the data from documents in the method of documentary research. The data used in this study is secondary data and time series data, which is the annual data obtained from random sampling during 1977 and 2011. The data was analyzed with quantitative analysis and multiple regression analysis. The estimation of coefficient with Ordinary Least Square (OLS) could be found that….

The variable of the actual private consumption (C)   and the actual private investment (I)  was statistically significant. It indicated that the actual private consumption and the actual private investment affected the national income (Y)  at a significance level of 0.05 with a correlation in the same direction. And the variable of the import of goods and services (M)  was also statistically significant. It indicated that the import of goods and services affected the national income (Y)   at a significance level of 0.05 with a correlation in the opposite direction.
