Guidelines for Administration of the Student Care and Support System Enhancing Student Life Skills in Schools under Nong

Abstract
The purposes of this study were to 1) investigate the current condition and the
desirable condition of the administration of the student support system to promote life skills and 2) to explore the guidelines for the administration of the student support system to promote life skills in schools under the Office of Nong Khai Primary Education Service Area 1. It is a descriptive research. The sample group consisted of 302 school administrators and teachers using stratified random sampling. The reliability was 0.952. Statistics used in data analysis include frequency,
The results of the research revealed that the current condition of the administration for the student support system to promote life skills in the school was overall at a very high level. When considering the mean by each aspect, it was found that screening students and student promotion and development had the highest average; however, getting to know each student individually had the lowest average. The desired conditions of the administration of the student care system to promote life skills was at the highest level. When considering the average of each item, it was found that student promotion and development had the highest average and referrals had the lowest average. The index value is necessary to develop the administration of the student care and support system. To promote life skills, it was found that the highest priority was knowing students as individuals, followed by student promotion and development.
The guidelines for the administration of student support system to promote life skills in schools under the Office of Nong Khai Primary Education Service Area 1 were found as
follows: 1) In terms of getting to know each student individually; the teachers should plan for organizing information systems and assigning responsible persons to supervise, monitor and reflect results, media technology and communication arrangements, 2) student screening
included planning, preparation and teacher development and building networking for
cooperation in the development of learners’ life skills; 3) promotion and development included planning activities to develop life skills 4) preventing and solving problems included solving problems together with the parent network, and 5) the referral aspect included cooperating with solving behavior problems.
