Guidelines for promoting the new normal professional learning communities in school under the Nong Khai primary educational service area 1

Abstract

The objectives of this study were 1) to investigate the current condition and the desirable condition of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) in the New Normal of schools under the Office of Nong Khai Primary Education Service Area 1 2) to explore the approach to promote the Professional Learning Community (PLC) in the New Normal of schools under the Office of Nong Khai Primary Education Service Area 1. It’s a mixed research. The sample group consisted of 302 school administrators and teachers by stratified random sampling method, and the proportions were determined and then simply randomized. The research tool is a questionnaire. The statistics used in the data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Modified Priority Need Index (PNI Modified). In the phase 2, semi-structured interviews were used to the Professional Learning Community (PLC) in the New Normal. Content analysis was used to analyze for the qualitative data. The results of the study revealed that the present condition of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) in the new normal of schools was overall at a high level. The desirable condition of the Professional Learning Community (PLC) in the new normal of schools was overall at the highest level. 2) The approaches to promote the Professional Learning Community (PLC) in the New Normal of schools under the Office of Nong Khai Primary Education Service Area 1 were found as follows: 1) In terms of having a shared vision in the New Normal 2) The collaborative leadership 3) The Caring Community 4) Exchanging experiences and applying 5) Working together as a team and appointing the master teacher.
