The Application of the Seven Kalyāṇamitta Dhammas in Academic Administration of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools, General Education, in Loei Province

Abstract
The objectives of this thesis were: 1) to study the administrational conditions of the administrators of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education) in Loei Province; 2) to study the application of the Seven Kalyāṇamitta Dhammas (Qualities of a good friend) in the academic administration of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education) in Loei Province; 3) to study the suggestions and guidelines for applying the Seven Kalyāṇamitta Dhammas in the academic administration of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education) in Loei Province. The research results were as follows: 1) The administrational conditions of the administrators of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education) in Loei Province: there were curriculum problems. The learning content was too old, and the language used in the book was difficult to understand. The learning process emphasized memorization rather than comprehension. The problem in teaching activities was that the teaching method and analytical thinking. The issues in teaching media were insufficient textbooks, insufficient media, and equipment. The problem with measurement and evaluation was that the measurement and analytical thinking.
2) The analytical results of the application of the Seven Kalyāṇamitta Dhammas in the academic administration of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education) in Loei Province revealed that the application of the Seven Kalyāṇamitta Dhammas in the academic administration of the schools was at a high level. In considering each aspect, the highest mean was seen in the aspect of the academic administration in terms of ‘Piyo (Lovable),’ followed by that ‘Guru (Venerable),’ ‘Vacanakkhamo Niyojaye (Being a patient listener),’ the least.
3) The suggestions and guidelines for applying the Seven Kalyāṇamitta Dhammas in the academic administration of Phrapariyattidhamma Schools (General Education) in Loei Province were as follows: (1) the academic administration should adhere to the school constitution and follow the rules and regulations which were consistent with the needs of monks and novices; (2) the administrators should make the others love oneself with good-natured manners. (3) they should be polite and show concern for both work and personal matters with compassion.
