A STUDY ON KHOM SCRIPT IS USED IN THERAVADA BUDDHISM IN THAILAND

            The Khom alphabet was written that Thai people have brought from the Palawan alphabet. By applying and having to invent a new font began to use the Khom script since before the establishment of the Thai Kingdom To be used as a nation of self Has developed the font style according to the modern era by using Khom and Thai characters together in both forms Khom letters are separated into Khom and Thai Khom characters. Therefore, the language we use to write will have two languages, namely Khom and Thai. The language used to write about Theravada Buddhism in Thailand is written only in Khom script. By writing with the letter of Khom Pali and Khom Thai alphabet because it is believed to be a sacred language and is high but at present, there is no formal teaching and learning, which will make the ancient Khom language that has been with Thai people for a long time, starting to decline by default. Which is a pity that Thai heritage must be lost, therefore, should preserve the Thai heritage with the Thai people for as long as possible.
