การวิเคราะห์เชิงพรรณนา : การก้าวสู่หมู่บ้านภูมิปัญญา

งานวิจัยนี้นำเสนอภาพแท้จริงของชนบทไทยและแสดงให้เห็นถึงปัจจัยที่ทำให้หมู่บ้านธรรมดาก้าวสู่การเป็นหมู่บ้านภูมิปัญญา งานวิจัยนี้เป็นงานวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ ใช้เทคนิควิธีการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล 3 วิธี ประกอบด้วยจากการใช้ข้อมูลเดิมที่มีอยู่แล้ว การสังเกตแบบมีส่วนร่วม และการสัมภาษณ์แบบกึ่งโครงสร้างจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลสำคัญจากกลุ่มที่ทำการศึกษา (settings) จำนวน 3 กลุ่ม ประกอบด้วย ชุมชนบ้านพะงุ้น จังหวัดชุมพร, ชุมชนบ้านฝั่งคลอง จังหวัดนครปฐม และชุมชนบ้านเขาดิน จังหวัดสระแก้ว ซึ่งเป็นชุมชนจากภาคใต้ ภาคกลาง และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ผลการวิจัยแสดงให้เห็นว่าปัจจัยสำคัญที่ทำให้หมู่บ้านธรรมดาก้าวสู่การเป็นหมู่บ้านภูมิปัญญา ไม่ใช่เพียงแค่น้ำ แค่ดิน หรือความอุดมสมบูรณ์ของถิ่นฐานเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญ แต่เป็นประเด็นด้านคุณธรรม, ความรู้, ภูมิปัญญา ผนวกกับความกล้าหาญของผู้นำที่ลุกขึ้นมาสู้เพื่อความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น ข้อเสนอแนะ ผู้นำในชุมชนปัจจุบันได้ค้นหาศักยภาพที่มีอยู่ภายในชุมชน ตัดสินใจ และลงมือดำเนินการอย่างมีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนาชุมชนของตนเอง โดยการพัฒนามาจากคนในชุมชนเองที่ใช้ความรู้ที่มีอยู่ ผสานกับการเปิดรับความรู้และประสบการณ์จากภายนอก และลงมือดำเนินการพัฒนาตนเองและชุมชนของตน เพื่อคุณภาพชีวิตและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีขึ้น
