The Social Return of Investment (SROI) Evaluation for Sustainable Development of Loom Weaving of Western Lai Hin, Koh Kha District, Lampang

Abstract

            This article was titled the social return of investment (SROI) evaluation for sustainable development of Loom Weaving of western Lai Hin, Koh Kha District, Lampang which was aimed to study the social return of investment (SROI), to suggest the way to develop the Loom Weaving group of western Lai Hin, Koh Kha District, Lampang. The data was collected from  2  samples that were working and supporting groups for 15 participants by in-depth interviewing for the tools, and the SROI was calculated together with the content analysis using.

            It was found that SROI value for Loom Weaving of western Lai Hin, Koh Kha District, Lampang was 0.99 which was compared with the SROI criteria was < 1.00 ( less than 1.00 ), it was meant  that the group activities result incurred the social return of investment which was less than the initial investment value, that was every invested money 1 Baht each would return 0.99 Baht. It was shown that the turnover was loss or did not incur increasing social value that should be developed and improved in the flaws.

            The researcher has suggested 7 aspects for the development way of Loom Weaving of western Lai Hin, Koh Kha District, Lampang which were the management, the production, the product development, the marketing, the finance and accounting, the government supporting, and the knowledge management to incur working group and more sustainable development.
