Preparing of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration forward to ASEAN Community: Social and cultural perspectives in the issue of Human Development

Abstract

This research article “Preparing of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration forward to ASEAN Community: Social and cultural perspectives in the issue of Human Development” purpose to understand and explore the administration process of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration in Human development for changing and stepping into ASEAN Community.The three pillar of ASEAN Community Blueprint especially the socio –cultural pillar that creating appreciated relationship between other countries in ASEAN community. The purposes of this research were: 1) to studying preparation of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration forward to ASEAN Community: Social and cultural perspectives in the issue of Human Development 2) to study the implementation of preparation of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration forward to ASEAN Community: Social and cultural perspectives in the issue of Human Development 3) to purpose the policy recommendation of preparation for Bangkok Metropolitan Administration forward to ASEAN Community: Social and cultural perspectives in the issue of Human Development. This research is used mix- methodology for searching the data in quantitative and qualitative styles.The sample group was 247 Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s officers who work relating with preparation forward to ASEAN Community: Social and cultural perspectives in the issue of Human Development. Data were collected using a questionnaire and an interview form and analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation. The quantitative finding indicated that 7 issue of of Human Development for preparation in ASEAN Community is middle level ( x̄= 3.29).The result of this study in qualitative method found that Bangkok Metropolitan concentrated in the policy formulation and implementation in officer’s capacity and education for preparation for stepping into ASEAN community. The research recommendation is Bangkok Metropolitan will expand the capacity of officers such as English program learning, ASEAN knowledge in several perspectives for preparation and understand ASEAN context in the future.
