Abstract
The study entitled Roles of the People in the Community in Organizing Education in Banponngam School, Kantarawichai District, Mahasarakham Province aims to study the level of the roles of the people in the community in organizing education in Banponngam School, Kantarawichai District, Mahasarakham Province both on the whole and by aspect, and to compare the roles of the people in the community in organizing education in Banponngam School, Kantarawichai District, Mahasarakham Province, classified by sex, age, level of education and monthly income.The sample comprised 201 people who are 20 to 60 years old and lived in the service area of Banponngam School. The instrument for the collection of data is a questionnaire with the reliability of .91. The statistics employs in the analysis of data comprised percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and t-test (independent samples) and F-test (one-way ANOVA) are used in the hypothesis testing.Also paired test according to Scheffe’s method was used. The results are as follows: 1. The people in the service areaof Banponngam School, Kantarawichai District, Mahasarakham Province see that their rolesin organizing education in the school, both on the whole and by aspect, are in the high level. Ranked in descending order, the aspects are as follows: general administration, budget administration, academic administration, and personnel administration. 2. The comparison of the roles of the people in the community in organizing education in Banponngam School, Kantarawichai District, Mahasarakham Province, classified by sex, revealed no difference in the people’s opinions on the roles of the people in the community in organizing education in the school; however, when it is classified by age, level of education, and monthly income, there is a difference in the people’s opinions on the roles of the people in the community in organizing education in the school, on the whole and one very aspect, with statistical significance at the .05 level.
