The Implementation Monitoring of the Master Plan of Conservation and Development of Phimai Historical Park

Abstract

The study of the implementation monitoring of the master plan of conservation and development of Phimai Historical Park towards Practice aimed to study the current physical information of the areas of the conservation and development master plan of Phimai Historical Park for getting more understandings of the differences the physical landscape features, before and after the conservation and development master plan of Phimai Historical Park implemented, to address the problems of monitoring and evaluation of projects which, from evaluation processes, issues in planning can be summarized in each aspect and plan. Recommendations can then be proposed for implementing and following-up of the further plan. The survey and depth semi-structured interviews were employed as research tools to address the issues of problem from sample group as the monitoring and implementation of the roadmap by studying the case studies, data analysis and triangulation monitoring. The study found that, after the area obtained the conservation and development master plan of Phimai Historical Park, the project implementation’s results of each aspect in roadmap have still invisibly been complied with the needs of the Department Silpakorn agency that determined and proposed the project since it has not been implemented by other agencies involved. Phimai sub-district and local authorities need to take the proposed map to implement continuously in the manner of area-based planning meanwhile the local authority gets involved with extensive physical planning, and serves as the primary host of coordination and budget support. It is necessary to establish an organization to monitor, control and regulate the implementation to get the defined objectives.
